All types of skin, not only oily have dilated pores especially on T-zone (forehead, nose and  chin). Open pores make the skin look aged and in time could lead to problems like acne and black points especially for those with oily skin. Black points are open folicules which contain dead cells and oxidized fats undergoing a chemical reaction which leads to melanin oxidation, hence the black colour.

There are also white points formed on the skin but in this case the folicules are not open so the colour of the material inside is not oxidized and remains white. Since the cause of dilated pores is not the diet or dirt, to change the diet or wash your face too often is of no use. The excessive face washing could lead to skin irritation and can worsen the condition. There has not yet been discovered a miraculous treatment which works over night, but there are some natural remedies which can ameliorate this skin problem.

Scrub. Once or twice a week use a scrub to clean your skin profoundly. I personally use corn flour, a natural ingredient which deeply and throughly removes the black points. You can use also a combination of sugar and honey as scrub. Honey has the role to hydrate your skin and makes it soft.

Mask treatments.

Honey, olive oil and egg-white mask.

This mask has a tremendous effect on the skin. It is best to be used before going to sleep. Make a creamy composition out of one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of olive oil and half of egg-white. Apply it on your face for 15 minutes, then cleanse it with warm water.

Rice mask.

This kind of treatment has been used by Asian people since long ago. The skin gets soft and silky. Boil a spoon of rice very well and let it get cool. Take the amount of boiled rice and apply it on your face massaging in circular movements for few minutes. Keep it on the skin until it gets dry. After that, cleanse your skin with the water in which you boiled the rice.

Cucumber mask.

This mask is ideal for oily skin. You need half cucumber, one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of lemon juice, one egg-white and one teaspoon of fresh mint. Blend them all and apply the creamy composition on your skin for 15 minutes. Cleanse with warm water. Enjoy the beauty and the freshness of your skin!
