How to naturally whiten, strengthen and hydrate your nails

Red or dark nail polish or smoking makes the nails look yellow. But especially red nail polish.

What to do in this case to bring your nails back to looking white and beautiful?

One way would be by using baking soda and lemon juice. Squeeze the juice of half of a lemon and add baking soda until you get a loose paste. Put the paste on your nails using a thin makeup brush and leave on for at least 10 minutes. You can also use the same mix in a much larger quantity, in a bowl, and soak your nails in there for 10 minutes.

If you don’t have baking soda and your nails are not very yellow, you can just use half of a lemon and rub it on your nails, one by one. Leave the juice to act for 10 minutes.

Rubbing lemon on your nails also strengthens them. For strengthening, you can also heat up some olive oil or sun flower oil and soak your nails in it for at least 10 minutes.

To moisturize the nails and cuticles you can either use olive oil, almond oil or lavender oil, or you can rub on some Shea butter, cocoa butter or coconut butter.

Other natural treatments for brittle nails include mixes such as tea tree oil and vitamin E, sea salt with lemon juice, or chamomile and ppermint tea with olive oil and wheat flour, egg yolk and milk.

Do you like drinking beer? Well next time you open one, pour a little bit in a bowl and soak your nails in it. It doed wonders for brittler nails. It contains minerals that nurture the nails such as biotin, selenium, phosphorus and potassium.
