TIPS FOR FEELING BETTER IN MENSTRUATION TIME

Pain, lack of energy, bloating, irascibility, sadness, change of moods are only few of the symptoms a woman can have in this period. Even if these unpleasant sensations are considered normal, they affect daily activities and general state of well-being. These manifestations can’t be removed but there are some tips to ameliorate their effect.

Balanced diet.

It is known that fresh food like salads, juices and fruits are excellent for the body health. In this time reduce salt consume because salt retains water in the cellular tissue and it makes you feel like an walking baloon. Drink plenty of water and camomile tea. Avoid alcohol, coffee and sweets.

Mild movement.

Even if you feel powerless in this time, a walk in the park is recommended because the muscles activity releases endorphines, happiness hormones which relax the body and change your state of being.

Sit on your knees on the floor or in bed, then bend your body in front and when you reach your knees with your chest, put the forehead on the floor and bend your arms behind with the palms upword. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Stay in this position until the pain goes away or at least its intensity is diminished.

Wear easy clothes and avoid wearing high heals shoes.

Make breath exercises. Lay down on a plain surface, put your hands on the belly and breath in deeply. Then breath out slowly. This breathing exercise helps you relax. Keep your eyes and mouth closed.

A method for the acceleration of blood circulation is massaging the ears, hands, face and feet.

Aromotherapy can be a helper in case you easily forget things in this time.  You can use lemon, basil and rosemary oils.

Take rest as much as possible in this time because the body goes through a physiologic stress by losing minerals, vitamines and alot of energy through bleeding. Pain and hormonic fluctuations are mostly the cause of uneasiness. Try to avoid taking pain killers as much as you can.
